Luka’s teeth were jarred away on December 12 after receiving an elbow from teammate Joe Wieskamp in an 84-68 win over Iowa State. He returned to the game with a total of 21 points and 11 rebounds. He was a consensus first-team All-American as a junior after averaging 23.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. Garza declared for the 2020 NBA draft the following season, but on August 2, he confirmed his return to Iowa and withdrawal from the draft.
