Drug abuse was a recognized problem for Macaulay Culkin. He was affected by a family problem and a failed profession, which caused him to develop a substance addiction habit.
However, Macaulay said that his drug-using days were ended in 2020. He talked out about his desire to have a family with Brenda Song, his girlfriend, and his three cats while insisting that he would never longer do narcotics.
The actor admits using narcotics to “play with fire” in an open interview with Esquire, but he managed to get through his lowest points without entering treatment.
Drugs are like old friends, the Home Alone actor stated, adding, “But sometimes you outgrow your friends.” He admitted that, other from the odd muscle relaxant, he did not use narcotics recreationally.
The 42-year-old’s early years were not very happy. Macaulay claimed that when he was a child, his father was abusive and harsh. He believed his father was envious of his career.
Macaulay was an adolescent when his parents divorced. He sued his parents in order to prevent them from having access to his trust money, which is said to be worth $15–20 million. Since then, he and his father have been on bad terms.

He was accused with carrying marijuana and two prohibited drugs, Alprazolam and Clonazepam, without a prescription in Oklahoma City in September 2004 after police searched his automobile.
After a brief period in custody, he was eventually freed on a $4,000 bond. He appeared in court for petty narcotics crimes and first entered a plea of not guilty before changing it to guilty.
Macaulay then received three sentences of one year in jail with a suspension and $540 in fines.

Parents Christopher Cornelius “Kit” Culkin and Patricia Brentrup welcomed their son Macaulay Carson Culkin into the world in New York City. His mother was a telephone operator and his father was a theatrical actor who also served as a sacristan in a church.
Patricia, a native of North Dakota, moved to New York City with Cristopher. Despite never being married, the couple had seven kids.
