Madisen attended Faith West Academy while she was a student in Katy, Texas. She was a member of the Top 50 Juniors list for PrepVolleyball during her time at the high school.
The high school volleyball team also took home the 2019 Girls Junior National title.
The youthful athlete represented the University of Kentucky for two years. She posted on Instagram to announce her transfer. She commented that she was “honored to have had the chance to wear blue for the past two years.”

. She was selected for All-SEC and AVCA Honorable Mention All-American teams twice while attending Kentucky.
The outside hitter had a team-best 3.78 kills per set average and a.282 hitting percentage in her final season with Kentucky. She also contributed 0.48 blocks and 1.21 digs in defense per set.
As a freshman, Skinner played a crucial part in Kentucky winning the national championship. Skinner had 3.1 kills per set on average in the NCAA tournament. In the National Championship game versus Texas, Madi had a season-high 19 kills.
