Nineteen years after they started dating, Keven Undergaro, the husband of Maria Menounos, popped the question. In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Lifestyle in December 2018, the couple discussed their first encounter, struggles, and eventual dream wedding.
The Initial Gathering of Maria Menounos and Her Husband Menounos first met Undergaro in Boston while she was a nineteen-year-old college student working on a film project.
She remembered, “It was love at first sight.” In a similar vein, Udergaro acknowledged that he believed he had never met anyone quite like Menounos after meeting her for the first time.
Their first encounter was brief since Udergaro left right after the filming was finished. However, as they said their final goodbyes, the couple was filled with sorrow.
They couldn’t understand why, after only a few days together, they felt such a strong connection. Menounos, on the other hand, asserted that she was already aware of their compatibility. She was determined to do whatever it took to have Undergaro fall in love with her because she was confident he was the one.
Menounos, Maria Since Maria Menounos had already moved in with her husband, she knew it would be difficult to carry through her intentions to live with Undergaro because of her strict father, who she knew would forbid her from being married to a non-Greek.
However, this difference was very important in bringing the couple together. She added that although both of their families had their struggles, they were able to get through them thanks to their shared faith and confidence in one another. But Menounos’s love affair had a steep price.
She broke with family customs by being forced to live with Undergaro in an unfinished basement with three other people and little money to spend, for which her father disowned her. Despite the difficulties they faced, they persevered because of their love for one another and their ambition to become famous in Hollywood.
Undergaro Menounos recalls telling his wife that Maria Menounos was a star and had a distinctive quality. He told her that ultimately their difficulties would be resolved and they would realize their aspirations of becoming Hollywood celebrities.
Engagement and Marriage of Maria Menounos and Her Fiancé
During their appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2016, the couple made an engagement announcement. Initially, they appeared on the talk program to advertise Menounos’ cookbook, “The Every Girl’s Guide to Cooking.” Undergaro said to the host, “We had so many beautiful experiences watching Howard Stern in the basement.
It was a milestone for us to get engaged on the set of the show. Over a year and a half, Menounos and Undergaro would get married in a way they never could have anticipated.
On New Year’s Eve in Times Square, New York City, Steve Harvey officiated their marriage, which was live-streamed on the Fox network. According to Undergaro, their wedding would not have been as memorable if they had wed seventeen years earlier.
