Mark Pierzecki was a Coralville resident and a devoted husband, father, and friend. On February 8, 1977, Mark was born in Albia, Iowa, to Michael and Mary. After graduating from Albia High School in 1995, he went on to earn an undergraduate degree in therapeutic recreation from the University of Iowa in 1999. He sadly died on June 12, 2023, at the age of 46, leaving everyone shocked.

The circumstances surrounding Mark Pierzecki’s passing are deeply distressing and painful. It has come to light that he died in an automobile accident. According to certain sources, it is therefore ruled impossible that Mark’s death was the result of an accident rather than suicide.
In addition to mourning the loss of a loved one, Mark’s family, friends, and the community are trying to come to terms with the terrible revelation. His giving nature must have touched a lot of people because he constantly showed sympathy and concern for others.
He was also a devoted father and husband who put his family first at all times. His two children, Riley and Jaryn, as well as his wife Jennie turned to him for bravery and support. Mark must have valued every moment he spent with his family because it was evident in every action he took.
Sports held a special place in Mark’s heart. He had an intense love for sports, particularly the Hawkeyes of the University of Iowa. He enjoyed attending events to cheer on his favorite teams and watching sports. Mark was an honorary member of the Iowa City Area Officials Association and an enthusiastic sports official.
His passion for sports extended beyond simple devotion. His knowledge and dedication won him distinction in the local sports community. His wonderful smile, sincere kindness, and unwavering love for his family and sports will live on in the memories of all who knew him.
