Mark Ruffalo And Robert Pattinson Will Be Seen On Screen In The Same Flim

Mark Ruffalo

Thanks to Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho, we will get a peek of the MCU and DCEU coming together; this is a fantasy that will take decades to become a reality.

Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk, and Robert Pattinson, Batman, will both appear in the film. Rumor has it that Mark Ruffalo recently signed on to the next film opposite Robert Pattinson, who recently made his DCEU debut as Gotham’s caped crusader in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The film is directed by Parasite filmmaker.

What is the storyline for the upcoming Bong Joon-ho movie?

The untitled movie, which will be released on February 15, 2022, is based on the novel Mickey7 by author Edward Ashton. Despite the film’s alleged inspiration from the novel’s premise, Bong Joon-ho is said to have significantly revised the original plotline whenever the director has worked on book adaptations, according to Deadline.

If the next movie is a faithful adaptation, it will show Mickey7’s story from the book. “Disposable employee on a human mission destined to inhabit the ice planet Niflheim,” is how they characterize him. He is the one brought in to do tasks deemed too dangerous for human personnel.

When he passes away, he is essentially brought back to life in a new body with all of his prior memories. Things start to go wrong once he dies for the sixth time, according to the book’s summary.

After six deaths, Mickey7 is aware of the terms of his agreement, which explains why he accepted the only colonial position that was open at the time. Their problems start when Mickey8 vanishes and is afterward believed to have been killed by evil local monsters.

Deadline claims that Toni Collette has also joined the cast along with Ruffalo and that the two are now completing the details of their contracts.

Along with Naomi Ackie from Star Wars, Pattinson, who will play the lead in the movie, will also make an appearance. This project is distinct from those in Korean and English. During an interview with Variety in 2021, Bong Joon-ho disclosed:

“Korean movie is set in Seoul and features different themes of horror and action… The English project is a drama movie based on an actual incident that happened in 2016.”

Joon-ho will collaborate with Dooho Choi of Kate Street Picture Company to co-write the script for the film, which he will also direct and produce under his production company Offscreen. The collaboration also involves the co-presidents of Plan B, the production company run by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner.
