Matt Groark- One Of The Contestant Of “Next Level Chef” Season 2

Next Level Chef

Season 2 of Next Level Chef will premiere on Fox on Sunday, February 12, at 10:30 p.m. ET, following the Super Bowl.

The culinary competition series will feature 18 chefs from across the country competing for a $250,000 grand prize by creating the most incredible meals imaginable, including social-media chef Matt Groark. Matt Groark, 44, is a teacher and the owner of Groark Boys’ BBQ, which has over 3.2 million Tik-Tok followers. Richard Blais directs him in Season 2 of Next Level Chef.

Groark Boys BBQ was founded in 2018 by Matt Groark, a Next Level Chef finalist

Matt Groark earned a Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education from Rowan University in 2003. He went on to earn his Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Wilmington University in 2008.

Groark began her career as a health and physical education teacher at Washington Township High School. In 2018, he raised funds to open Groark Boys BBQ, his first restaurant. Matt had donated $30,000 to charities and community groups from his meat company’s profits by 2020, which included pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, and other dishes.

He stated in a 2020 interview:

“My purpose has always been to give back because of how others have supported and given back to my family. Any monetary gain that results from this… My value is to give people hope and motivation in addition to food. That is more important to me than any amount of money.”

He has taken part in a number of charitable events, including feeding the residents of Washington Township and Sam’s Club pandemic fundraising efforts. Matt and Kristin Leigh Groark, with whom he has two sons named Aidric and Nash, celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary recently.

Next Level Chef Season 2

Gordon Ramsay hosts the second season of Next Level Chef. He and coaches Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais will evaluate their six-person teams in three different kitchens with varying scenarios and settings. Among the 18 candidates are numerous home cooks, high-level line cooks, professional chefs, and social media chefs.

The chefs must create “the most outstanding next-level cuisine” in front of their respective mentors to win the trophy, $250,000 grand prize, and one-year mentoring.

According to the series description on Fox:

“The legendary epic gastronomic gauntlet returns to its legendary stage. A breathtakingly diverse kitchen can be found on each level of the three-story building. The ingredients complement the atmosphere, from the gleaming top floor to the tough depths of the basement, because Gordon Ramsay believes that the ultimate measure of great chefs is not what they can achieve in the best of circumstances, but what kind of magic they can produce in the worst!”

Additionally, it states:

“The stakes are high as the cooks try to make their initial impressions on their respective teams, with a one-year mentoring and $250,000 on the line. Who will cook the most spectacular next-level meal in the all-new “Premiere” season premiere episode of Next Level Chef, and who will not?”

The second season of Next Level Chef premieres on Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET to see if Matt Groark can impress the mentors with his debut dish. Next Level Chef will return to its regular Thursday night time slot of 8 p.m. ET following the premiere episode.
