Matt Stutzman’s Professional Career
Matt is a professional impaired archer who represents the United States at the international level. He makes use of his legs and has honed the technique of shooting most precisely with his legs despite the fact that he is missing both of his arms. He also holds the world record for the longest accurate shot in impaired archery. Matt first represented the United States at the international level in 2012, when he competed in the London Paralympics. He managed to put up a magnificent performance, earning him a silver medal. In 2014, he competed on the national level in the Arizona Cup, where he won a silver medal. The following year, in 2015, he competed in the Parapan American Games and won another silver medal with his outstanding performance.
In the same year, he won team gold at the World Archery Para Championship. The same year, he set a Guinness World Record for the longest individual distance of 310 yards. He competed in the Paralympics again in 2016 but did not earn a medal. In 2019, he won a bronze medal at the World Archery Para Championships.
