Maxine Wahome | Dead?- Accused Of Assaulting Her Boyfriend

Maxine Wahome

Although she is not dead, Maxine Wahome is charged with harming and assaulting her partner.

Prior to switching to motocross, Maxine previously participated in autocross competitions. In June 2022, she made her début at the Naivasha Safari Rally, where she went on to win the WRC3 title. She was led by the co-driver Waigwa Murage.

On December 13, 2022, Maxine Wahome once more made news for the wrong reasons when it was claimed that she and her 50-year boyfriend Asad Khan were involved in a love triangle. Asad Khan was sent to urgent care because his Achilles was bleeding excessively.

When celebrities are in the news for the wrong reasons, GBV activists have urged for Safaricom PLC and Betika to stop supporting them online.

What Did Maxine Wahome Do If She Is Not Dead?

A famous rally driver named Maxine Wahome was accused of hitting her lover Asad Khan on Wednesday at the Milimani Law courts.

Wahome was detained by the police for two nights following her detention on Jamhuri Day, December 12, before making her yesterday appearance before Magistrate Benard Ochoi.

Police asked for a 14-day detention for Maxine in a prior court hearing on Tuesday so that they could conduct additional investigations into the incident that took Khan to the hospital.

According to state prosecutor James Gachoka, Khan was in severe condition in the high-dependency unit and was unable to describe what had transpired. According to Gachoka, Khan, the complainant, was brought into the high dependency unit of Avenue Hospital in a critical condition and with a severely deep cut on his right ankle.

Due to her stature and the fact that many of the case’s witnesses reside in their Kilimani, Nairobi, apartment, the prosecution contended that Maxine Wahome should also be detained.

The arrest and charges against Maxine Wahome

Wahome was detained on December 12, 2022 in a Kilimani residence following an alleged assault that left her partner Asad Khan in grave pain.

Maxine Wahome was also required to be detained by Gachoka so that they could take her to the government chemist for a DNA test before prosecuting her.

Additionally, the prosecution informed the court that Wahome’s allies were under investigation. The driver of the Safari Rally pleaded with the court to prevent media coverage of the matter, claiming to be the victim and in need of protection.

Through her counsel, Maxine Wahome claimed that Asad Khan hurt himself while he was hitting her.

Is Maxine Wahome a prisoner?

Maxine Wahome, a rally driver from Kenya, was released on a Ksh. 100,000 cash bond as police investigated an incident in which they believe she attacked her boyfriend.

Wahome created history in June of this year when, at the young age of 26, she became the first woman to win the WRC3.

The Police requested that she be detained for 14 days while Wahome was charged with seriously endangering Asad Khan, but Magistrate Benard Ochoi denied their request.

The court decided against ordering the media to stop covering the issue since the allegations that she is a victim have not been substantiated.

In their request to the court on Tuesday, Wahome’s lawyers claimed that she is the victim in the situation and not the aggressor.

Ochoi said there were no compelling reasons to remand her in detention for two weeks, rejecting the state’s motion.
