Maya Timmons is a mixed-race child born to Brian Timmons and Maureen Brady. Maya was primarily raised by her mother Maureen following her parents’ divorce when she was nine years old.

Maya was drawn to UCLA by the school’s illustrious past, encouraging coaching staff, and sense of camaraderie. Among the many advantages of softball, Maya cherishes the connections and lifelong friendships she has made. Her favorite things are the movie “Pocahontas,” the musician Beyoncé, and the professional softball players Tom Brady and Amanda Lorenz.
Playing six straight games in a national competition that lasted over 15 hours was a high point of her sporting career. Maya respects Serena Williams, the tennis player, for her unwavering dedication and winning mindset. After earning her bachelor’s degree in sociology, she is currently enrolled in John Wooden’s Transformative Coaching and Leadership program for educators to pursue her master’s degree.
