Tragically, Pat Quinlan passed away quietly on August 18, 2023, at her residence in Reno, Nevada. She had spent 88 years in the place she called home, the same city she moved to as a child. Her passing marked the end of an era, leaving her family and community in mourning.
Pat was fortunate to have many lifelong friends, and she cherished these relationships until the very end. In fact, on the day of her passing, she was eagerly looking forward to attending a luncheon with her 1951 classmates, a testament to her enduring connections.

Patricia Quinlan’s mother’s full-time work as an accountant for a Reno doctor and the Local Bartender’s Union played a significant role in shaping her life. Pat’s educational journey began at South Side School, and she graduated in 1951 as part of the final class of Reno’s original high school.
Pat Quinlan was known for her unwavering commitment to her community. She started working at the former Rexall Pharmacy during her high school and college years, alongside her lifelong friend Otto Schulz.
Her dedication to her work and creative ways of giving back to the community didn’t end there. After obtaining her real estate license, Pat returned to work once her children left for college.

Pat’s passion for helping others led her to spend several years volunteering at the Reno Assistance League. This role was close to her heart because of the friendships she forged and the people she worked with. Her selflessness and dedication were admired by all who knew her.
Beyond her professional life, Pat was a woman of many talents. She was a skilled violinist in her younger years and developed a deep passion for the Reno Philharmonic. She tackled Sunday crossword puzzles with ease, showcasing her sharp intellect. Her artistic side shone through in her skills as a painter.

Patricia Quinlan’s legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched. Her favorite memories included a memorable European and Irish journey with her husband, Bob, and close friends, Colonel Otto Schulz and Sally. These moments became treasured memories for a lifetime.
While she is no longer with us, Pat is survived by her daughter Carol, son Mark, daughter-in-law Diana, two grandsons – Ryan and Kellen, and Ryan’s wife Kendall. She leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Ireland, and Jack Quinlan, who will undoubtedly carry on her spirit of kindness and grace.
