Meadowlark Lemon was born in Wilmington, NC on April 25, 1932. Clown Prince of the Harlem Globetrotters for 24 seasons, playing in over 16,000 games for the team. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. He and Lamont ShowBoat Robinson were both long-time members of the Harlem Globetrotters. By using an onion sack, a coat hanger, and a milk can, he created his first basket and ball to practice with.
