She formerly worked for Pro Travel Network as a travel agent and Abercrombie & Fitch as a manager.

Erik Karlsson’s wife, Melinda Karlsson, and Monika had previously met. Their wives were Ottawa Senators teammates and coworkers. Melinda Karlsson, on the other hand, sued Monika in 2018 for alleged cyberbullying. Monika was accused by the Karlssons of sending them insulting tweets and emails.
They also sought an order of protection against Monika in May 2018. Melinda accused Monika of making many comments in which she stated her desire for the murder of her pregnant child. She went on to say that Monika informed her she was dead and that her husband’s legs should be chopped to end his career.
Mike and Monika both denied the allegations, stating they were unrelated to the harassment. Monika also believed that Melissa’s choice to turn against her was influenced by the gossip website Talk Sports. In this case, Monika later hired an IT professional, Kevin Horrocks, to confirm that the insulting remarks were not made by her IP addresses.
Horrocks’ investigation revealed that the nasty remarks were not coming from Monika’s IP address. However, the damage had already been done. Hoffman and Karlsson were released by the club. Since then, the Karlsson family has established the “Can’t Dim My Light” charity to collect funds and raise awareness about bullying.
Mike and Monika Hoffman’s Marriage
Mike and Monika first became acquainted in high school. Mike, on the other hand, had not revealed anything about Monika on his Instagram account before their wedding. Before the controversy occurred, the NHL couple confirmed their engagement. Mike proposed on one knee in 2018, and despite the legal battle, the couple married in 2019.
The ceremony was held at Chateau LeParc in Vaughan, Canada. Rebecca Chan, their wedding planner, shared numerous photos from their big day on her website. She described the event as a “Luxurious White event,” complete with white flowers, gold accents, and edgy black accents.
A mariachi band was also present during the wedding, which was a delightful surprise. Mike tweeted a snapshot of the couple relaxing on the beach while on their honeymoon in Hawaii. The couple announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child.
On June 2, 2023, Mike shared a few images of his newborn. Their daughter’s name is London Parker Hoffman. Mike recently shared a photo of the couple celebrating their first Christmas as parents. Mike was carrying his kid as the three of them stood in front of a large Christmas tree decked up with ornaments.
