Ntamack is well-known for his loyalty to Top 14 club Toulouse as well as his tenure as a fly-half with the France national team. His association with Toulouse dates back to his rookie season, and his impact on the squad was evident in the 2018-19 season when he was instrumental in the club’s Top 14 victory.

“Ntamack’s success also extends to the international stage.” In 2021, he won both the French championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup, demonstrating his great talents and contributions to the sport. Romain was also a key member of France’s national squad, most notably during the 2019 Rugby World Cup, when the team advanced to the quarterfinals, showcasing his skill and versatility on the world stage.

Ntamack was named World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year at the World Rugby Awards in recognition of his outstanding performance and potential, establishing his status as one of rugby’s rising stars.

Who are Romain Ntamack’s parents?

Romain Ntamack’s origins and family history have had a significant impact on his rugby career: his parents are Émile Ntamack and Marie Séguéla. Unfortunately, shortly after he graduated, his parents, Émile and Marie, divorced. Marie Séguéla, Romain’s mother, is the daughter of former SCA Pamiers fly-half Jean-Claude Séguéla and a high school PE teacher.

Romain developed an early interest in athletics as a result of growing up with a PE teacher’s mother who exposed him to sports. Romain’s father, Émile Milou Ntamack, is a former professional rugby union player who played for Stade Toulousain and the French national team.

Émile made his French debut against Wales in the 1994 Five Nations Championship and was a part of the 1997 Grand Slam-winning teams. He also represented France in the Rugby World Cups in 1995 and 1999. A face injury prompted him to retire in 2003, but he continued to play for another year until officially retiring in 2004.

After retiring as a player, Émile Ntamack became a coach. As coach of the French U21 team, he was a huge success, leading them to victory at the 2006 World Championships in Auvergne.

Émile also took up coaching duties at Stade Toulousain, including directing the Espoirs squad, before joining the French national team as backs coach in 2007. Ntamack’s childhood was most likely influenced by his parents’ involvement in rugby and sports, which influenced his excitement for and success in the sport.

Romain Ntamack’s Brother Is A Rugby Player As Well

Romain Ntamack’s younger brother, Theo Ntamack, was born on May 29, 2002. Theo, like his elder brother, is a talented rugby union player for the Toulouse club. Theo began his rugby career after graduating from the Stade Toulousain program and securing a position on the federal Pôle France squad for the 2020-21 season.

Following that, Theo was promoted to the France under-20 rugby squad, where he was able to take part in his first Top 14 training sessions. His hard work and talent were rewarded when he signed a three-year contract with the Toulouse club in May 2022.

On September 11, 2022, Theo Ntamack made his Top 14 debut, marking a watershed moment in his burgeoning rugby career. Despite RC Toulon’s ultimate 28-8 home loss, he entered the game in the 58th minute as a substitute for the injured François Cros. Theo’s sporting achievements are undoubtedly a source of pride for his family, particularly his older brother Romain.
