Tom Telesco

Tom Telesco, the former Los Angeles Chargers general manager, and his wife, Larah Telesco, have three children: one boy and two daughters.

Telesco fell in love while playing for the Carolina Panthers. Tom Telesco is most known for his tenure as general manager (GM) of the Los Angeles Chargers, an NFL franchise. He joined the Chargers in January 2013 and was instrumental in developing the team’s roster and making crucial decisions about player acquisitions and personnel changes.

Telesco was with the Indianapolis Colts for over 15 years before joining the Chargers. He began his career as an area scout for the Colts in 1998 and worked his way up to Vice President of Football Operations. During his time in Indianapolis, he was part of a successful front office that earned three playoff berths and a Super Bowl championship.

Tom Telesco Wife Larah: Married Life and Children

Tom Telesco, the football executive, is married to Larah and has three children: a daughter named Elena and two sons, Thomas and Nicholas. Larah met Tom in Charlotte, North Carolina while working in the Panthers’ scouting department. She is originally from upstate New York. Their journey led them to Indianapolis, where Tom spent 15 years with the Colts before moving to San Diego for four years to start his career with the Chargers.

By the summer of 2017, the family had relocated to Newport. Larah’s employment experience includes advertising and software sales, which she continued until the birth of their second child. Since then, she has dedicated her time to nurturing and managing the hectic lives of their lively children.

Chargers fire Coach Brandon Staley and GM Tom Telesco

The Los Angeles Chargers announced significant changes to its leadership structure on December 15, 2023, following a streak of poor performances. The decision came after the squad suffered one of its most humbling defeats in history. Despite making the playoffs the previous season, the Chargers have struggled this year, going 5-9.

Their most recent decline includes losses in five of their last six matches. Their terrible 63-21 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders not only set a team record for points surrendered but also dropped them to the basement of the AFC West standings. Furthermore, the 42-point deficit in the game was the third-largest in club history.

As a result, the organization parted ways with both head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco. Giff Smith will act as interim head coach to fill the vacancies, while JoJo Wooden will take over as interim general manager. Tom Telesco has worked for the Chargers since 2013, while the franchise was based in San Diego.

Telesco’s leadership over the years has resulted in tremendous victories, including the selections of standout players such as Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, and Justin Herbert. Under his guidance, the Chargers advanced to the playoffs in 2013, 2018, and 2022. Dean Spanos, the team’s owner and chairman of the board, expressed gratitude to both Staley and Telesco.
