The highly anticipated eight-episode Lord of the Rings adaption will make its debut on Prime Video this Friday. The first two episodes will run on August 2, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET.
“Starting at a time of comparatively peace, we follow an ensemble cast of individuals as they battle the reappearance of evil in Middle-earth. These countries and individuals will leave behind legacies that will endure long after they are gone, from the farthest reaches of the world to the misty depths of the Misty Mountains to the lovely forests of Lindon.
The narrative will develop over several seasons, tracing the Second Age, a time of calm in Middle-earth before one of the worst disasters ever struck and wreaked havoc. The wicked Lord Sauron will be the main adversary. Having said that, let me introduce you to Megan Richards, an English actress who will play Poppy Proudfellow in The Rings of Power.

English actress Megan Richards, 20, previously appeared in the BBC 1/Netflix series Wanderlust. Megan completed her drama studies at West London Drama Training and The Brit School. In the 2018 season of the Nick Payne television series Wanderlust, she made her acting debut.
She also appeared as a special guest on Doctors on BBC1. Richards spent most of 2019 performing in the German movie Pan Tau. She additionally participated in the Extremism production by National Theater Connections at the Soho Theater. She is a talented musician who can play the guitar, piano, and saxophone in addition to singing.
Megan Richards continues, “I’m delighted to depict a universe that is all my creation. In an exclusive interview with Collider, the actress talked about the new show and expressed her excitement for it to air.
“I’m happy that we get to present a fully imaginary universe. Pure imagination carried to its logical conclusion is all that it is. And I’m glad that everyone can see the effort that everyone, including the performers, the staff, and the production, put into it.
And just to take in all that has been built, created, and imagined, as well as to the kind of immerse people in the universe that we are fortunate enough to play in.
When asked which of the eight episodes was her favorite, Richards responded,
“I enjoy a lot of the features that a lot of the episodes have. In two, something happens, and in three, something else happens. The number seven appeals to me. Starting with seven. Seven is an excellent number.
“We have a ton of wonderful stuff in store for two. Therefore, the adventure begins when you consider the numbers 2 and 7. It’s the first episode of a series, right? That’s pretty exciting. It’s exciting.
One of the three hobbit species portrayed in the novel is the Harfoot, and Poppy Proudfellow appears alongside her best friend Nori (played by Markella Kavenagh).
According to rumors, Richards referred to the two as “the lying to each other’s yang,” and they are sometimes compared to Merry and Pippen from the Fellowship. Additionally, Richards stated that her persona “attempts to restrain Nori” and is “the more circumspect of the two.”
