Mel C has been announced as the Sunday headlining performance at the Godiva music festival in Coventry. On July 2, the former Spice Girl will perform on the main stage at War Memorial Park.
In addition to DJ Trevor Nelson and dance ensemble Odyssey, Coventry band The Institutes will also perform earlier in the day.
In response to the announcement on social media, fans praised the lineup as “amazing” and expressed excitement.
It was already reported that The Enemy would return to delight local fans on the first night of the festival, while Rudimental will headline on Saturday.
Tickets for the three-day event will go on sale on March 3, with 20,000 “early bird” seats available at a discount.
Previously, Councillor Abdul Khan, deputy leader and cabinet member for events at Coventry City Council, referred to the festival’s day tickets, which start at £7.50, as “great value for money.”
It is estimated that as many as 69,000 people attended the festival last September.
