Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby, who met on season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise, have called it quits. Michael revealed the following breaking news on Jason Tartick’s Trading Secrets show on September 18, 2023:
“I suppose I’ll just say it.” We’re no longer together. It’s not what we expected. We both put a lot of effort into this relationship, and it’s heartbreaking when it doesn’t work out. You lament not only the loss of that person and friend in your life, but also the future you had envisioned. And it’s entirely her fault. “She put everything she had into this,” he remarked.
He went on to say:
“I just admire you so much.” That’s all I’ve got for now. We’re still working through some issues and attempting to keep close. But, yes, the previous few months have been really difficult. Starting anew is always terrifying. It’s terrifying, but it’s a necessary part of the process.”
Michael Allio also spoke about how difficult the current situation is, but he believes that all will work out in the end. While filming season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise, the two celebrities met. Their first kiss happened on their first date, which was broadcast on the show in October 2022. Their relationship was quite visible at the time.

Michael Allio previously married Laura, who died of cancer in 2019 and left a son, James, behind. Danielle Maltby, on the other hand, had previously been engaged, but her lover died by suicide in 2011.
The ex-couple had a terrific relationship during Season 8, but instead of getting engaged, they worked on their relationship after the show ended. At the time, Allio stated:
“I’ve had trouble giving and receiving love since Laura died.” And for the longest time, I’ve felt completely lost, wandering, and numb. I keep it with me at all times so I don’t get lost. It states on the inside, ‘I find you wherever you are.’ And I can’t help but believe that this compass led me to you [Danielle].”
Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby’s romance ended in August 2023, when the stars stopped regularly sharing photographs together. Michael Allio also stated the following in an interview with the She’s All Bach podcast:
“Let me say this. It’s not easy to be in a public relationship. Danielle and I, for example, both agree that the only individuals in our relationship should be us two. As a result, we believe that the healthiest approach to establish a relationship is to keep it secret. And we both adore one other, but we simply want to keep things quiet.”
