When Jasmina joined Married at First Sight, fromfrom a nervous breakdown. She felt great in the days running up to the wedding, but on the big day, she got cold feet and fell. She calmed down when she saw Michael at the altar.
When Jasmina spoke with Michael more after the ceremony on Married at First Sight and throughout the wedding festivities, she became concerned and suspicious.
Michael Morency acknowledged following a rigid sleep schedule. He considers himself a “grandpa” who goes to bed at 9:00 p.m. Jasmina, on the other hand, enjoys staying up late to watch Korean dramas. Michael confessed in a confessional during their wedding reception:
“Loss was a part of my family’s existence as I grew up, and it influenced everything,” she says. “It’s been difficult to find out how to let people in,” she says, “but I’m looking for love.” I’m looking for someone to join me. I knew I had to take a big risk to make it happen, and I’m glad I did.”
Jasmina’s worries were exacerbated when she discovered Michael’s work schedule. Michael stated that he had a demanding job schedule and little free time. Jasmina was concerned that he would not have time to pursue the relationship.
She stated,
“In previous relationships, I had a bad track record of being with people who were just emotionally absent.” I deserve someone who will prioritize me and is genuinely interested in the same things I am. Marriage, in my opinion, is not a joke. It is something I take very seriously.”
Michael’s actions on the show stoked the fire
At the opening of episode 5 of Married at First Sight, Jasmina and Michael Morency had a conversation in which Michael feared the couple had drifted apart. He desired to see further development in their connection.
The Married at First Sight couple then investigated Michael’s tendency to see the worst in every situation. It frightens Jasmina, she says. Michael stated that he took it seriously because it was a one-of-a-kind situation. He kept overthinking and assuming the worst since he didn’t want to ruin their relationship.
When Michael Morency asked Jasmina to apologize for cutting him off during their conversation with others on the boat, she snapped. Michael thought Jasmina’s response of “I am sorry you felt that way” was not an apology, so they discussed it over dinner.
Jasmina refused to apologize because she had not cut him off. His rude demeanor annoyed her. Michael apologized and stated that he is attempting to become less violent.
