The probable cause statement states that Porter jumped a red light at South University Boulevard as he was driving westbound on Buchtel Boulevard at an estimated speed of 50 mph. Porter then hit Rothman’s automobile head-on.

According to Police, Porter had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred and mumbling speech, and a heavy alcohol stench on his breath. The paper wristband that said “Bud Light” was another thing the police saw.

According to online court records, Porter was freed on a $2,000 bail and is being investigated for vehicular murder and reckless driving.

The results of Porter’s blood test are still awaited.

The arrest of Coban Porter and Investigated Charges

Coban Porter, 21, was detained on suspicion of vehicular murder and reckless driving, according to Kurt Barnes, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department. A two-car accident happened at 1:54 in the morning. Officials report that one driver died at the site.

Around 1:54 am, there was a two-vehicle collision at South University and Buchtel Boulevard. The motorist was pronounced deceased at the scene on Sunday.

Michael Porter Jr. was not a part of the collision, according to the Nuggets. He was unable to take part in Sunday’s 101-99 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder because of personal reasons.

Porter was not a part of the incident, a Nuggets representative said. He is listed as “questionable” for the game against New Orleans on Tuesday.

According to online court records, Porter is accused with vehicular homicide and was freed on a $2,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing. Michael Porter Jr., a forward with the Denver Nuggets, was unable to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night due to “personal circumstances.”
