For years, devoted coach Mike Carroll shaped the Halifax Wrestling K-12 program and countless wrestlers. The wrestling community mourned Coach’s death on June 20, 2023. Even when wrestlers questioned themselves, the coach saw potential in them. He pushed his players to their limits to achieve excellence. His unshakable confidence in them influenced many Halifax youth.
The wrestling community and Mike’s family mourned his death. People who knew him admired his coaching and mentoring talents, therefore his absence will be felt.

The Halifax community mourns Coach Mike Carroll’s death. His heartbreaking demise was announced on Halifax Wrestling’s Facebook page. The Halifax Mat Club sent Carroll’s family their deepest sympathy.
Coach Mike was a vital part of the K-12 wrestling program for years, and his devotion and enthusiasm will be remembered. He thought every wrestler had latent potential, frequently exceeding expectations. Each athlete was taught hard effort, devotion, and tenacity by the coach.
The coach had a lasting impact on Halifax youngsters beyond wrestling. His family sacrificed much to underline the significance of every employee, and their efforts will be remembered. Mike will be missed in the wrestling program, but his legacy will live on in each wrestler he taught.
The community honors his legacy and celebrates his amazing accomplishments for the sport and the people he impacted, regardless of his death cause.
Mike Carroll Family
Mike, the famous Halifax Mat Club coach, was a wonderful husband, father, friend, son, and grandpa. According to his Facebook page, he was blissfully married to Susan Carroll. Susan Carroll, a former Home Depot México Lead Generator, supported him.
Mike and Susan had a lovely family of two daughters and two sons. Roseann Carroll-Hoffman and Missy Wilhelm were their adored daughters, while D.J. Carroll and Jeremy Breeden proudly took on their father’s name.
On September 4, 1999, his son Jeremy married Shellie Edwards Breeden. But Missy Wilhelm has been a Rail Coordinator at Veolia North America since April 4, 2014. Carroll enjoyed his grandchildren, who were his family. The cherished grandkids Sean Kennett, Jordyn Breeden, and Jalynn Wuest spent treasured time with their grandfather.
After Mike’s death, his family grieves together, drawing comfort from their memories and affection. Their family will always treasure him and his legacy of love, leadership, and inspiration.
