The buyout conditions are flat-rate percentage-based, with a 75% buyout for years one through three and an 80% buyout for years four through six.
The deal contains a pay pool of $11,000,000 for employees. Elko will also receive $100,000 for each SEC Championship Game appearance. Texas A&M has set up postseason incentives for Elko, with each one resulting in an automatic one-year contract extension.
A $1 million prize for making the College Football Playoff (CFP), a $1.5 million bonus for reaching the CFP Quarterfinals, or an SEC title are among the incentives. Similarly, reaching the CFP Semifinals earns $2 million, reaching the CFP National Championship Game earns $2.5 million, and winning the CFP National Championship earns $3.5 million.
