For allegedly murdering a Temple University Police officer on Saturday night in North Philadelphia, Miles Pfeffer has been taken into custody. At the end of November, Miles Pfeffer posted a warning on his Instagram profile.
He counseled individuals to work wisely rather than laboriously and to only make dumb decisions if they intended to experience silly outcomes. He penned the comment beside a picture of a man, whose face was obscured by fanned-out $20 notes and who looked to be holding a Ruger revolver in his belt.
According to Philadelphia police, Pfeffer rejected his advice. Early on Sunday morning, federal and state authorities surrounded the mother’s Buckingham Township, Bucks County house. According to a police affidavit, Pfeffer shot the 31-year-old cop just after 7:12 p.m. on Saturday near 17th Street and Montgomery Avenue. After being pushed to the ground, the suspect shot Christopher many times in the head and face.
The guy then went through Fitzgerald’s pockets and tried to seize his pistol. Videos of the incident were captured. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office claims that Fitzgerald had pursued Pfeffer while looking into a suspected crime close to Temple University’s campus. It was not known what had brought about that first meeting. Pfeffer is accused by police of stealing a man’s Infiniti Q60 at gunpoint shortly after shooting Fitzgerald.
Temple Officer Left His Wife And Children Behind
The dead officer has been named as 31-year-old Christopher Fitzgerald by Temple University. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, four children, and parents. Fitzgerald, a father of four and an avid runner, was pronounced dead at 7:27 p.m. He was the first Temple University police officer to die while on the job.
On Sunday afternoon, Fitzgerald’s family gathered around a makeshift monument near Bouvier Street and Montgomery Avenue. Fitzgerald’s cousin Juan Marrero Jr. reflected on the life of the guy he considered as a big brother who lived across the street from the spot where Fitzgerald had been killed less than twenty-four hours before.
Marrero claims that Fitzgerald’s parents are both in the police force. After serving in high-profile roles for 17 years with the Philadelphia Police Department, Christopher Fitzgerald’s father Joel Fitzgerald worked in Allentown, where at the age of 19, he had worked as a correctional officer.
Details of Miles Pfeffer’s Charges Pfeffer has been accused of murder, homicide, killing a police officer, robbery, and carjacking. He is not eligible for bail. Fitzgerald’s handcuffs were used to apprehend Miles, continuing a tradition that law enforcement preserves for dead cops. Pfeffer was then picked up by his mother on Ridge Avenue and transported back to Bucks County, according to the complaint.
The paper states that Pfeffer’s brother was there when the shooting occurred on Saturday night and helped police identify Pfeffer as the gunman.
