Milly Alcock Wiki: What Role Did She Play In “House of the Dragon”? Age & Parents

Milly Alcock

Australian-born actress Milly Alcock is best known for playing little Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO’s House of the Dragon. Her real name was Amelia May Alcock.

Her parents are who?

Ammy Alcock, her mother, gave birth to her in Sydney. Although she was raised with her two brothers, her father’s name is not mentioned. Alcock said during an interview that she came from a very non-artistic family and that she clung to art as a source of independence and something she could call her own because she believed it was something that was specifically hers.

She was accepted to Newtown High School of the Performing Arts because she had acting talent, but she left early to pursue a career as an actor. Since all of her classmates had agents, she had to Google agencies before she arrived at school to find out if they could hire her. At the moment, she was 13 years old.

She was unaware that she was a candidate for the popular show

She first became interested in acting when she was a young child, performing Little Red Riding Hood (a jazzed-up adaptation of the classic fairy tale) in her elementary school while growing up in Sydney, New South Wales, with her two brothers. She recalled being on stage, raising her hand to emphasize something, and feeling ecstatic as if she wanted to remain in that state forever.

In the teen romantic comedy Wonderland from 2014, she made her acting debut. Prior to obtaining a prominent role in the Foxtel series Upright and the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, she was appearing in small roles in Australia. But when she entered, she was unaware that she was trying out for the prequel.

She claimed to have gotten a self-tape for an unnamed HBO project, as reported by the Evening Standard. Because HBO had removed the information from the screenplay, when she and a friend arrived at the audition, they had no idea it was for House of the Dragon.

Two weeks later, she was given a role. At a friend’s house, Alcock claimed to have been preparing supper when the call came through. She sat outside to accept the phone call because she couldn’t tell anyone she was auditioning for the role. When her agent informed her that she had been cast, she freaked out in the backyard before running inside to ask a friend if he had any wine. She subsequently started drinking. Her language learning experience in Valyrian

For House of the Dragon, Alcock had to learn the Valyrian language from various dialect teachers. In a podcast, she discussed her experience learning Valyrian. She compared learning Valyrian to learning a new song in a foreign language. They would have the scene phonetically and with an audio recording after she had memorized it in English and had it printed out on a sheet.

Then she would say it. She didn’t have to think about what she was saying because it was in her muscle memory. She acknowledged that almost all of her speech was automatic. She also gained horseback riding skills. She would practice riding a horse for hours in preparation for the role. She admitted that she puts a lot of pressure on herself because she knows she is the only one to blame if it doesn’t succeed.

Who is her boyfriend’s name?

She is not in a relationship right now. After posting an Instagram picture with Ari Kwasner-Catsi, she was thought to be dating him in 2019.
