Colleen Ballinger is an actress, singer, and well-known YouTuber most known for playing the fictional character Miranda Sings, which she created in 2008.

She has been active on YouTube for about ten years, making her one of the most well-known online stars. She portrays Miranda Sings as an untalented woman who believes she is destined for greatness even though she is a skilled vocalist.

The star of Miranda Sings is known for her overdrawn red lips, narcissism, accents, and habit of calling her “haters” names. She is also known for her awful singing and off-rhythm, off-key beat. She is renowned for occasionally expressing offensive and politically incorrect opinions.

The persona was influenced by real women in her college vocal performance program as well as several YouTube videos of people with less talent. It is a parody of the numerous egotistical artists on the well-known streaming platform who record themselves singing while getting negative feedback.

Ballinger “never believed anybody would ever see it” when she posted the first video of her imaginary persona, a cover of Aretha Franklin’s Respect, to her YouTube account Miranda Sings in February 2008. When the movies went viral in 2009, she was “very astonished.” The channel now has 10.8 million subscribers.

Her three siblings, Trent, Rachel, and Chris Ballinger, raised her in Santa Barbara, California. She had dreamed of being a model but instead decided to follow her passion for singing and performing by enrolling at Azusa Pacific University in California.

She endured a lot of bullying at school. Grandpa, who passed away in 2011, was “encouraged” by her line of work. YouTuber Joshua Evans and Ballinger formerly shared a marriage, but they split in 2016.

She gave birth to their son Flynn Timothy Stocklin in 2018 after being married to her co-star in the movie Haters Back Off, Erik Stocklin. Twins Maisy Joanne and Wesley Koy Stocklin were born to her. In 2021.

In her 14 years of fame, Miranda Sings has performed on Broadway, appeared on numerous late-night talk shows, created her own Netflix series (Haters Back Off), and written two books, Self-Helf (2015) and My Diarrhe (2018), both of which are written from her perspective.

She also gained popularity for her 8.75 million-follower vlogging channel, Colleen Ballinger. The multi-talented superstar has also given performances, among other places, in Australia, Canada, and Ireland.

She has also made appearances in Pennsylvania, London, and Hollywood. Ballinger is thought to be worth $8 million. In the forthcoming Generation Gap episode, which will air on Thursday on ABC, the actress will now be seen reprising her role as Miranda Sings.
