Marie said she was worried when her daughter stopped picking up the phone that afternoon and eventually lost power in her device.

After that, she spent hours scouring the city in search of Carsyn. Marie learned the next day that a young woman’s body had been discovered off the highway, outside a Super 8 Hotel, based on social media posts.

The individual who made the grim discovery wrote about it online and then told Marie about it. Marie knew immediately it was her daughter after reading the information.

The man who located Carsyn reported that she was conscious but sickly. She felt her heart racing and her skin burning with anxiety. Carsyn also started having convulsions.
