In a fresh letter, Morgan Evans described Kelsea Ballerini’s previous remarks on their ‘awful’ divorce really sad’ and urged people not to be mean
Morgan Evans, 37, is speaking out after his ex-wife Kelsea Ballerini, 29, revealed she never wanted to be married and made disparaging remarks about his character.
The ex-husband sent a statement on Instagram in which he appeared to term the country singer’s words “sad” and not “reality” and begged people not to be “cruel” to either of them. He also expressed hope that she can “recover.”
Morgan added in his article,
“It’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch this guy, who I spent so much of my life with and loved with all my heart, stating things that aren’t true and that leaves out what actually occurred.” “She knows I’m not the sort to discuss such matters in public.”
“I hope this helps if this is what she needs to heal,” he continued. “All I ask is that if you’re on my pages, you refrain from being cruel. Do not be cruel to Kelsea, and do not be cruel to one another. “Life is too brief.”
Morgan’s letter arrives on the same day that Kelsea, whom he divorced in 2022 after five years of marriage, made news for her discussion of their relationship and divorce on the Call Her Daddy podcast, which will be released in its entirety on Wednesday.
“I did not want to get married. Kelsea said she would never get married on the show. “At age 23, I believe he loved me more. I love myself more at age 29.”
After revealing that the divorce was “ugly,” Kelsea stated that she did not know what type of “person” he was at the time their marriage ended.
She stated,
“While he’s releasing a song about being surprised, he’s stealing half the house he didn’t pay for.” “How was it that I was married to this person for so long and was unaware of this aspect of their personality?”
In August of 2022, Kelsea first revealed her separation from Morgan. She shared a note on Instagram about the “very tough decision” and described it as “the culmination of a journey of love, development, and effort.” She has been romantically linked to Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes after their breakup.
