Morgan Wallen, the current leader of the Billboard country music charts, needs vocal relaxation after only eleven dates of his seven-month global tour.
“After last night’s performance, I began to lose my voice, so I spent the day recuperating, speaking with my doctor, and performing vocal exercises in an effort to recover.
The 2022 Academy of Country Music Album of the Year winner announced via social media shortly before his scheduled performance time at the University of Mississippi Rebels’ Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, that he was unable to sing due to a severe voice injury.
“Every ticket will be refunded at the moment of sale. I am truly regretful, and I assure you that I did everything possible.”
“Ladies & Gentlemen, Morgan Wallen has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight; therefore, the performance scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
Please make your way to the stadium exits in a safe manner. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at the point of purchase, according to an announcement displayed on a large stage screen.
Before Wallen’s cancellation announcement, HARDY, ERNEST, and Nate Smith performed their scheduled performances.
His next scheduled tour date is April 27 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Wallen’s album “One Thing at a Time,” released in March of 2023, is presently achieving unprecedented success.
All 36 songs debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after the album’s release, accumulating nearly 500 million on-demand streams.
This achievement surpassed Drake’s record for the most songs by an artist on the chart at once and the mark for the most debuts on the chart with 27.
This propelled Wallen’s single “Last Night” to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 all-genre listings, marking his first time atop the chart.
Concerning vocal recuperation during unprecedented success, Wallen’s difficulties on his 63-date tour mirror those of Adele a decade earlier.

One week of vocal rest would keep Wallen off the road for his April 27 performance at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, April 28 performance at the Vibrant Arena in Moline, and April 29 performance at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The following date, May 4, will take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
