Mr. Beast Stated That He Is Getting Annoyed With The People Who Copied His Content

Mr. Beast

Jimmy Donaldson, better known on YouTube as MrBeast, believes his “copycats” are “out of control.” The creator responded to a tweet from a fan, Louis-Philippe Papineau, who expressed his displeasure with those who go to such lengths to copy the YouTuber’s work.

The 24-year-old inventor responded to Louis’ tweet and agreed that the copying was out of control. Jimmy is well-known for his lavishly produced, high-budget music videos. He has previously stated that each of his films requires months of preparation in order to be successfully executed.

However, with over 100 million YouTube subscribers, the inventor is frequently imitated by other producers. MrBeast’s most notoriously accused copycat is Morgz, a British YouTuber. In 2018, the former’s fans and followers accused the latter of openly stealing his ideas and thumbnails, sparking a feud between the two.

The conflict between MrBeast and Morgz

Viewers discovered remarkable parallels between MrBeast and Morgz videos in August of 2018. In April 2018, Jimmy released a video titled “Can 1,000 Rolls of Duct Tape Stop a Car?” Morgz released a video titled “Can 1,000 Layers of Duct Tape Stop a Car from Hitting Me?” in August of the same year. In a tweet that has since been removed, Jimmy acknowledged the parallels.

Morgz quickly responded with screenshots of YouTubers who had done the identical video to the two years before, claiming that others had done it first. Jimmy responded with a video in which he stated that he harbored no ill will toward the English YouTuber. Jimmy, on the other hand, requested that Morgz change the material when creating films in his likeness.

Morgz immediately responded that he, too, did not want conflict between the two. He also stated that the subject of his video was vastly different from Jimmy’s. Jimmy deleted his initial Tweet in response to Morgz’s comment, effectively ending the debate. A few days after their Twitter spat, @BradHeat revealed that Morgz had removed the phrase “MrBeast” from his account. They released:

“So I went looking… Morgz has BLACKLISTED the term “MrBeast” so that no one can call him out on it. He is obviously aware of his actions.”

On November 26, after one of his challenges became popular, Jimmy tweeted, “What if I invited everyone who participated and had them compete for cash?” However, not all of his fans agreed, and some claimed that Morgz did not require “additional attention.”

Later, in March 2019, a Twitter user posted images highlighting the similarities between the two artists’ video thumbnails. Jimmy’s response, on the other hand, was what his fans loved, as he stated that imitation was the “highest form of flattery.” FaZe Banks, the founder, observed the response and commented that Jimmy was “far too sweet,” to which Jimmy responded:

“That is correct, but not all of my actions are. Many people imitate me every day, but it would be hypocritical of me to be angry with them.”

His response received over 15,000 likes in less than a week. Numerous YouTube channels have discussed the two producers’ content similarities.
