As Renjun tested positive for COVID on July 27, SM Entertainment canceled NCT DREAM’s THE DREAM SHOW 2: IN A DREAM performance at the Dome. It was a three-night event in the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul that was sold out.
Two days prior to Renjun’s arrival, another member, Mark, tested positive for the virus. The agency’s initial plan was to continue the show without him. However, it has been abandoned entirely.
According to the agency, Renjun has received all three immunization doses. The message also stated that despite the staff’s and members’ best attempts to put on an excellent event, the “unavoidable decision” had to be made. Tickets for the performance will also be returned in full.
The newest member of NCT DREAM to sign with COVID is Renjun, and the agency has canceled Dome shows.
The most recent NCT DREAM member to test positive for COVID is 22-year-old Renjun. On July 27, the singer experienced “odd symptoms” and immediately utilized a home test kit.
After a positive result, he was sent for PCR testing. The results were the same. Hence, the idol immediately ceased his deeds. Now, he is quarantined.
In a statement announcing the cancellation, the agency stated:
“Despite the fact that all of the NCT DREAM members and staff worked tirelessly to prepare a concert that would meet the expectations of the fans who had been waiting for this concert, we regrettably reached the unavoidable conclusion that we would not be able to put on the best possible concert under the circumstances, so we kindly ask for the fans’ understanding.”
Renjun is the most recent K-pop star to cancel or postpone performances due to sickness. Although Zico delayed his return promotions, NCT 127’s Yuta was forced to miss a concert in Singapore, while members of ENHYPEN, Cosmic Girls, and others were recently diagnosed with COVID.

The now-canceled Dome tour was essential for NCT DREAM. It had been nearly three years since the band’s last solo performance in South Korea. Also, it would have been the group’s debut with all seven members.
The band’s most recent and inaugural performance took place in 2019 with six members. Mark departed the company in January of that year. Mark’s first performance with NCT DREAM would have been during the Dome tour.
As a result of many mishaps and the cancellation of the event, fans were understandably outraged. Everyone on social media wished both members a speedy recovery and hoped they would not blame themselves.
They also made it obvious that they would await their return with patience. Additionally, they may still be able to perform at Seoul Festa 2022 next month. Likewise, NCT DREAM has just revealed that Beatbox would be repackaged and distributed on May 30, 2022.
