Nick Thompson of Love Is Blind has publicly addressed his breakup with ex-wife Danielle Ruhl for the first time since filing for divorce in August, saying he is devastated and has done everything to keep the relationship intact. He elaborated on his sentiments in a lengthy Instagram post, writing:
I’m heartbroken that my marriage is over. I know in my heart that I gave it everything I had. Even Nick admitted that things were challenging following the divorce filing. He declared:
We go through cycles of sorrow as we manage our emotions, like many of us who have endured a loss or a life-altering event.
The reality television star of Love Is Blind also discussed his mental health, saying:
I’m overcoming anxiety and melancholy by resolving my personal psychological problems.
On Netflix’s second season of Love Are Blind, Nick and Danielle became friends. After a few episodes, the couple became engaged and fell in love. The former couple was one of two couples that got married in the Love Is Blind climax.

In the second season of Love is Blind, Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl first became friends. They started talking to each other through the pods and eventually became engaged.
After barely 10 days of dating on the reality dating show, the couple got engaged. Before seeing Nick in person, Danielle remarked: I’m prepared to wed him tomorrow. Nothing will get in my way of doing this.
Nick was the first participant in the dating program to ask his lady love to marry him. Danielle immediately accepted his proposal after being ecstatic. At the time, she stated:
Given that I already feel like the happiest girl in the world, how can I help but be pulled to him?
The ex-couple stayed together till the end of the show despite their disagreements and arguments. In front of friends and family, the couple got married outside.
After their wedding, the newlyweds encountered a few difficulties, but they remained united and improved their relationship via couples therapy.
They were happy with how their relationship had improved as a result of the treatment. The pair just marked their first anniversary. Only a few months earlier, they were even contemplating renewing their vows. Danielle revealed to Us Weekly in July:
“We really want to organize a party for our two or three-year anniversary so that all of our family members can come.” I’ve always daydreamed about the perfect wedding, the planning process, and the bachelorette party. So, when we have the time, we’re replacing everything.
But a few weeks later, the former couple made their divorce public. The announcement typically shocked admirers. After being married, Nick filed for divorce in June of last year. Season 2 was filmed in the spring of 2021, it should be noted.
