The drill rapper from Yonkers was involved in a fight in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan.
A knife, also consistent with a murder weapon, was found at the scene.
The identity of the primary suspect is currently unknown. The same suspect is said to have repeatedly stabbed Notti, resulting in his death.
The attacker, a juvenile of only 15, was first charged with second-degree murder for his attack on Notti.
But it became out that both men had been fighting before the accused stabbed Notti as he ran away. Therefore, the murder accusation against the accused was reduced to that of first-degree manslaughter.
When we talk about drill rapping, we usually talk about how this style of rapping is used to tease rivals. Authorities are worried that this is what sparked the deadly brawl.
According to the police report, the would-be drill rapper was initially sent to New York Presbyterian Hospital to receive treatment for his stab wounds. Later, Notti was transferred to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, and it was there that he passed away.
