Dawson Springs is around an hour away from Mayfield, Kentucky, which was slammed by a powerful tornado and sustained serious damage to local towns, locations, and roadways in Kentucky. It wreaked havoc on hundreds, if not thousands, of lives in other states.
Dawson Springs was destroyed as a result of the devastation. It appeared as if someone detonated a bomb in town, and everything has gone in a matter of seconds. Furthermore, the death of child Oaklynn has shattered the hearts of people all around the country. Every series of their small daughter’s health condition was shared on the family’s Facebook page. Tribute from the Heart
On December 11, 2021, the parents posted on Facebook, “Oh Lord, please be with us.” My mother’s house is no longer standing.” They also stated that they were both in the bathroom at the time of the attack. They all flew away and landed on the other side of the neighbor’s house. Nothing was scarier than knowing that a large tornado had reached the city and hearing the children’s terrified cries that they would all perish. According to the parents, if their daughter Oaklynn had not been in her car seat, she would not have lived or been in the hospital. They were shocked at their survival and continued on their trek despite the huge impact of a tornado in Kentucky. The parents also posted a photo of their son in the hospital with the caption, ”
My helpless child stapled him together. This appears to be a nightmare.” Their son Dallas was being carried to St. Vincent Hospital, while one of their boys survived the tornado and was later released. “Hope everyone remains safe tonight I’m stressing out,” the parents said on their Facebook page only hours before the storm slammed town. Many individuals expressed their support for Oaklynn’s recovery on the family’s Facebook page.
The parents continue to give updates on their daughter’s condition. Something else is going on, they wrote. Dallas is at Deaconess Hospital, not St. Vincent’s. So, after Dallas was discharged from the hospital, their brother and sister would be reunited. Please keep my baby in your prayers.
Oaklynn Koon’s Death
Things had gone awry with their daughter Oaklynn’s health by the evening of December 12th. She was transferred to several machines and was kept alive with the assistance of equipment and other nurses. The baby had been hurt in the head and was not displaying any signs of life at the time. The parents requested prayers, contributions, phone calls and texts, and anything else that could help rescue their child. They hoped that better news would come from the doctors.
However, on December 13th, the tragic news was released that the infant Oaklynn had died. The parents shared a photo of the baby’s hand clutched with the father’s. The parents said that it didn’t seem genuine and that their car had also been looted. A national guard was verifying IDs to allow people to enter the town. This was due to residents reporting that their goods had been stolen from the shattered homes.
