The management of ace Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has threatened to sue Nancy, a rapidly rising singer, for copyright infringement.
According to Ofori Amponsah’s team, Nancy sampled some sections of one of Ofori’s tracks for his recently released “Cloud 9” single without consulting management.
Ofori Amponsah’s crew alleged that the singer did not consult them before sampling Ofori Amponsah’s song for his own single.
A team member of Ofori Amponsah’s management lost his cool over the issue while on the phone with other team members, threatening to sue the singer, according to a video posted on social media.
As punishment for not consulting the team initially, he alleges that the management would claim ownership of the “Cloud 9” song and secure any revenue generated by the song.
