Is the French striker Olivier Giroud a Muslim or a Christian?

Christian Olivier Giroud is. He is an Evangelical Protestant, to be exact.

The striker, a former Chelsea and Arsenal player, is devoted to his faith. He claims that he prays a bit before games even if he does not cross himself since he considers himself to be a “very believing person.”

Giroud makes no secret of his beliefs. On his right arm is a tattoo that reads, “Dominus regit me et nihil mihi demerit,” which means, “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing.”

He also gives God credit for his accomplishments and claims that his religion inspires him to work harder.

He said, “I’m very religious,” after his French side won the 2018 FIFA World Cup. I simply gave God thanks. I felt really fortunate to have the chance to realize my goal. For me, each day I am alive is a blessing.

When Giroud was younger, his mother Viviane used to accompany him to church. He never misses an opportunity to talk about his religion since he is open and proud of it. “I grew up with my mother taking me to church every Sunday,” he remarked.

While in London, Olivier actively participated in spiritual life and furthered his commitment to his religion. He became affiliated with St. Barnabas Church in Kensington.

Family Origins and Ethnicity

Frenchman Olivier Jonathan Giroud was reared in the neighboring town of Froges after being born in Chambéry. Denis Giroud and Viviane Arnaud-Goddet are his parents.

Romain, Giroud’s elder brother, is his only sibling. He also played football, representing France at the under-15 and under-17 levels, and was a member of the Auxerre Academy.

In the meanwhile, Olivier began his athletic career by participating for his local team, Olympique Club de Forges. After six years of training with the club, he subsequently became professional at the age of thirteen by joining Grenoble.

According to Ethnicelebs, Giroud has a mixed ethnicity of French and Italian.
