The Zahed brothers were shot at the Bodyfit Fitness Center on Parramatta Road in Auburn, Sydney, on May 10. Shot in the arms, legs, and stomach, Omar died instantly. Tarek, 41, was shot 10 times, including in the head.
Tarek was sent to the hospital. After that injection, he was hospitalized for 10 months. Omar and Tarek were Sydney Comanchero bikies. Assaulting police, drug feuds, and other crimes were their charges. They were detained for breaking the government lockdown regulation.
Tarek, a Comanchero bike gang nation-armed sergeant, had a million-dollar reward on his head. The New South Wales Supreme Court barred him from visiting Sydney unless he met certain requirements after moving to Melbourne.

Police speculated that gang rivalry or bikie infighting caused the incident. “With all these shootings and people being killed, there’s opportunities for people to try to take their places,” said homicide squad leader detective superintendent Danny Doherty. Sydney Arrests 22-Year-Old
A 22-year-old was apprehended at Sydney Airport for murdering the Zahed brothers. Detectives apprehended a guy at Sydney Domestic Terminal around 10:30 pm on Saturday, December 24. He was arrested for hiding a serious gym shooting indictment. The Parramatta Bail Court denied bail and ordered him to appear Sunday.
Task Force Erebus, which investigates deadly shootings and organized gang crime in Sydney, included the gym shooting and police investigation. Investigations and counter-terrorism deputy commissioner David Hudson claimed 11 gang-related killings in Sydney’s criminal underworld were caused by gang disputes.
