On September 13, NLE Choppa revealed on Twitter that he was single. He proceeded:

After NLE Choppa’s statement went viral, his now-ex-girlfriend, 26, took to Instagram to express her struggles with the breakup.
The influencer said, through tears, that she had been seeing the 19-year-old for over a year. Since their breakup, she has not been able to eat or sleep well. She went on to say:
“A week ago, I did not experience this. This one stings the most since I thought I would marry this person.”
She described NLE Choppa as “mature” since he was doing things for her that “adult men have never done for me.” Da’Nae went to her Instagram story after telling her fans during an Instagram live that she “wishes everyone love and peace.”
She added that after going live on social media, she was insulted by internet users. The influencer closed her account by expressing that she would “share my route to recovery.”

“I take full blame, full accountability, and full responsibility for all of my actions,” in the first place. He continued by describing his connection with Marissa DaNae as “the best” and describing her as “the sweetest, nicest girl.”
The singer of Capo went on to add in the video that he didn’t want to spend his twenties with just one woman or be intimate with just one person.
He stated in the video that he does not believe in monogamous marriage. According to the artist, Da’Nae enthusiastically supported her boyfriend’s polygamous lifestyle. As stated by NLE Choppa:
