On The Young and the Restless, what happened to Colleen Carlton | Explained

Colleen Carlton

Colleen Carlton, the star of The Young and the Restless, was a fictional character who made her mark in the iconic American CBS soap opera world.

The character debuted on March 15, 1992, as Brad Carlton and Traci Abbott’s kid and grew up to become a teenager portrayed by Lyndsy Fonseca from 2001 to 2005. Tammin Sursok was the last person to play it. Colleen Carlton, a sweet little Daddy’s daughter as a child, turns into a rebellious teen.

People were so taken with her and J.T. Hellstorm (Thad Luckinbill) that they were dubbed the “soap opera super couple.” Critics reacted negatively to Colleen’s death in The Young and the Restless in 2009.

In The Young and the Restless, how did Colleen die?

Colleen’s life took a devastating turn after her father, Brad Carlton, died heroically while saving Noah Newman. Colleen damaged the relationship between Victor and Newman Enterprises by taking over Victor’s position on the board. Victor fabricated a quarrel to damage Colleen’s reputation and professional chances.

Colleen then went to the Abbott cabin, where she met Patty Williams, who had no idea who she was or why she was in town. Colleen was chained to a tree after a brutal fight, but she worked her way free and attempted to help Patty. Colleen lost her footing and fell into the lake while they were fighting, injuring her head and having hallucinations of her loved ones.

Despite Jack Abbott’s attempts, Colleen was confirmed brain dead upon arriving at the hospital. Traci Abbott was upset and decided to withdraw from life support. In a dramatic turn of events, Nikki Newman pleaded with Colleen for her heart for Victor, who needed a transplant after suffering a heart attack.

In The Young and the Restless, who played Colleen Carlton?

Colleen, a recurring character on The Young and the Restless, was Brad Carlton and Traci Abbott’s only child. From the time of her onscreen birth in 1992 until 1995, she was played by several child actors. After that, the character was transferred to the canvas and eventually returned, having quickly evolved into an adolescent.

Lyndsey Fonseca was the first actress to play the teen/young adult version in 2001, and she continued in the role until her character was killed off in 2004. She later returned for a brief time in late 2004 and continued to work there until early 2005.

The character was recast in 2006 with Adrianne León, a former General Hospital actress who was fired in 2007. Tammin Sursok, an Australian singer-actress, was then cast in the role until the character died in 2009. Colleen and Daniel Romalotti were very close.

Since 2004, Michael Graziadei has played Daniel Romalotti on The Young and the Restless. Even though Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford, Gina Tognoni) are legally Daniel’s parents, a later narrative point established that Brian Hamilton is Daniel’s real father.

Colleen has two breakups, the first with J.T. and the second with Adrian. Daniel was going through a breakup with Amber at the same time. So he starts a relationship with Colleen, but it doesn’t last long because he decides to return to Amber. The Young and the Restless airs new episodes on CBS and Paramount Plus.
