I’m Famous, Get Me Out of Here! Finalist Owen Warner recalled how fellow competitor Jill Scott gave him the nicest Christmas present. The former Lioness Scott won the ITV reality competition, with the Hollyoaks star finishing in second.
James Maddison, a player for Leicester City, autographed an England shirt for Warner, a Leicester resident, according to Scott.
It was by far the best gift, he declared. Following her triumph on the program, Warner revealed to BBC Radio Leicester that Scott had flown to Qatar to serve as a commentator for England vs. France World Cup game.
Owen Warner remarked,
“During that time, she was able to get Madison to autograph his shirt for me.
“The fact that she had so much to consider but still managed to get me a small Christmas present says it everything for me about Jill.
“That was amazing to have. I nearly yelled when I saw it.”
After missing them while he was away in the jungle, Warner said he had relished spending the holiday season with his family.
“I believed everything would be fine. I occasionally go a month without returning to Leicester, “added he.
“But I was unaware that I often texted and Facetimed my mother, as well as my brother, my parents, and my grandparents. I remain in touch with every one of them.
“So it was bad enough that I was alone for a week and a half without access to a phone.
“After that, I have to spend three weeks in the bush with no communication at all.
“I was terribly homesick for my family. All I wanted was for them to be there. Now that I’m back, you can’t keep me from seeing my family.”
