Despite his young
Gueye was born and reared in the region of Montreuil, which has a mixed reputation. His father was strict with him and his brothers, so they avoided hanging out with the bad neighbors. He would constantly remind them that if they were leaving the house, it had to be for football or school. He was very protective of them.
He was brought up in this way. Gueye said he was single-minded and didn’t need anyone to tell him what he wanted out of life, which was just football. When he was seven years old, he joined Blanc-Mesnil SF. He received coaching up to U-13.
At the age of 12, he enlisted at Le Havre. He additionally took certain tests in Saint-Etienne. He claimed that PSG was interested in him at the time, but he decided to come to Le Havre because of its excellent players, first-rate training facilities, and, above all, its sports studies program.
His bond with his parents is strong
Gueye claimed to have a very close relationship with his parents. Though it was tough for him to imagine leaving home at such a young age, he also understood that sacrifice was necessary to fulfill his dream. When Gueye went home for pre-training when he was 12 years old, he recalled crying all night long and wondering about his parents.
He attended school during the day, and at night he couldn’t stop worrying about his parents. He even told the director that he wanted to go home.

He should not be concerned because the days would pass and he will succeed, his father assured him, because they are behind him and will always be there to push him. But he persisted in crying, insisting he couldn’t stop until he made up his mind that everything would be okay.
At the age of 15, he began his training at Le Havre. He intended to return to the city for a specific reason, but when he does, he will be wealthy and successful, demonstrating that he traveled for nothing.
When he joined the team in July 2020, his childhood dream of playing for Marseille became a reality. He stated in an interview that he wanted to play for OM, a well-known club in France and around the world when he was younger.
“To withstand OM’s call, you’d have to be insane.” We are familiar with the supporters and the Velodrome, and there is much to say about the team, he added. FIFA imposed a one-year transfer restriction on Marseille due to the ongoing dispute over the 2020 signings.
When his contract with Le Havre expired in July, Gueye signed a pre-contract with Watford in April. But he had a change of heart and signed a contract with Marseille.
