He is the third child of Mississippi-born NFL quarterback Elisha Archibald “Archie” Manning III and Olivia (née Williams). His older brothers, Peyton and Cooper, played football when they were younger.
Manning played football and basketball for the Greenies while attending Isidore Newman School in New Orleans. Eli Manning threw for 7,389 yards and 89 touchdowns in high school.
On February 7, 1999, he decided to play college football at the University of Mississippi. Manning arrived at Ole Miss under the shadow of his brother, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton, and his father, a “folk hero” from Ole Miss.
Manning established or tied 45 single-game, season, and career records while playing with the Rebels. His career statistics include 10,119 passing yards, a passer rating of 137.0, and 81 touchdown passes, which places him third on the SEC’s all-time passing touchdowns list (tied for sixth on the SEC career list).

In 2007, he proposed to Nashville, Tennessee’s Abby McGrew. Manning and McGrew have been dating since they were freshmen at the University of Mississippi.
McGrew pursued fashion studies in New York. The couple wed in a private ceremony in San José del Cabo, Mexico, on April 19, 2008.
The children of Manning and Abby were three girls and one boy. Their main office is located in Summit, New Jersey. Eli and Peyton Manning both volunteered during Hurricane Katrina.
The Mannings helped ship 14,000 kilograms (30,000 pounds) of supplies, including water, Gatorade, newborn food, pumice, and pillows, to the residents of New Orleans.
In 2007, he launched a five-year drive to raise $2.5 million for the Eli Manning Children’s Clinics at Blair E. Batson Hospital. This is for the Children of the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

“I am humbled by their efforts and proud to make this five-year commitment to assist raise funds for the construction of this cutting-edge facility that will benefit Mississippi families for generations.” His father, Archie Manning, has also helped to the Katrina relief effort.”
