The daughter of Maeser and Marilla Terry, she was born on a farm on February 16, 1942.
Pat’s mother, who imparted gospel teachings and a passion for study and reading, as well as the steadfast beliefs and faith of her pioneer ancestors, had a significant impact on Pat’s upbringing.
During her time in school, Pat’s family moved to St. George, Utah; she was kindhearted and outgoing, which helped her make friends, including one with Jeffrey R.
Holland, whom she finally wed at the St. George Utah Temple on June 7, 1963.
A five-year romance preceded their marriage.
