When the Avalanche beat Tampa Bay to win their third Stanley Cup in June, Peter was a member of the broadcast crew.

Before the N.H.L. preseason on September 29, 69-year-old McNab revealed he was fighting cancer. The former University of Denver star, who participated in 995 NHL games over 14 seasons, was honored in the United States.
