Felix Kjellberg, the YouTuber PewDiePie, recently announced on social media that he and his wife Marzia Kjellberg are expecting their first child.
In addition, the internet sensation shared a video montage titled “We’re Having a Baby” with his 111 million YouTube followers. In the film, the couple can be seen taking four positive pregnancy tests, viewing their baby’s ultrasound image, and charting their path to motherhood via Marzia’s growing baby belly. PewDiePie was seen tweeting to his followers about the news, saying:
“I’ve been keeping a secret from you. And the reason for this is that I’m about to become a father!”
He went on to say that Marzia’s pregnancy was discovered in November 2022. The YouTuber continued, saying he was “thankful” that everything was “going smoothly.” PewDiePie and Marzia met in 2011 and married eight years later in 2019. They’ve been married for four years and have been together for more than a decade.

What was said in the pregnancy announcement video? In one of the video recordings, PewDiePie can be seen waiting for his wife at the clinic. He claims:
“Despite the fact that Marzia has been ill, she has handled herself admirably.”
The 33-year-old continued, ”
“Everything is fine. “I’m going to be a father!”
The content creator also admitted that the news was “a little strange” at first, but that he was “eager” to embark on the new adventure:
“It’s new territory for me, but Marzia and I are ready.”
He was also thankful for the opportunity to start a family with the woman he loves, saying:
“I’m confident that whatever lies ahead of us, we can complete together.”
The eight-hour YouTube video, which has over 2.8 million views, concludes with a scan report and Marzia’s due date of “July 2023.” The news infuriated fans, who flocked to social media to congratulate the newlyweds.
Marzia and PewDiePie first connected on Facebook
Both first met in 2011 when the latter’s friend recommended she watch the YouTuber’s video Idiot Playing Video Games. Marzia contacted the content producer after being impressed by his films, and the two communicated via Facebook. They met in person when Felix visited Marzia in Italy.
They allegedly began dating shortly after and spent the majority of 2012 in Sweden and Italy before flying to Los Angeles. In 2013, the pair moved to Brighton, where they are also good friends with YouTubers Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes. Maya, Ynk, and Edgar are the couple’s three dogs.
Marzia quickly became a star in Felix’s videos while also establishing her own lucrative YouTube career. The couple got engaged in 2018. Felix reportedly proposed to her during their trip to Japan, and she posted the news with the caption “She said she’d think about it.”
Marzia announced the news as well, saying, “He proposed.” The couple married in a small wedding ceremony in London’s Kew Gardens in August 2019. Their wedding appeared to be held on the same day they first met eight years ago. The couple is expecting their first child together four years after their wedding.
