Balisongs and butterfly knives can be legally bought online, but depending on where you live, possessing them may be against the law. So, make sure to check the local laws before purchasing the knife. PewDiePie bought the sword from the online store Wish. As evidenced by multiple of his uploads, he uses the knife as a fidget toy.
We can infer from his video that the YouTuber did not have any significant issues with the law. He claimed that the incident had made him so upset that he had replaced the knife with a number of other fidget toys. The rest of the movie was then spent with him showing off the toys he had purchased. As of this writing, the video has received over 1.5 million views.
