Philip Agassi

Philip Agassi is well-known because he is the older sibling of Andre Agassi, an American retired professional tennis player and a former world no. 1. Andre has won the Grand Prix tournament eight times and the Olympic gold in 1996. Only five other players in history can say they have won all four major titles as he has.

Is Philip Agassi Single? Relationship

Philip and his jewelry designer partner Marti Agassi have a happy marriage. There is some debate over when they tied the knot, but they remain a married couple today. Andre married fellow tennis star Steffi Graf in 2001 after divorcing model/actress Brooke Shields.

This couple had been together since the year 1999. Jaden Gil Agassi, born in 2001, and Jaz Elle Agassi, born in 2003, are the children of the pair. Andre and Steffi have been married for nearly two decades, and they seem to be very content.

The Relatives of Philip Agassi

Philip is the second child in his household. His older sibling, Rita, entered the world in 1960. Skyler Gonzales was born to her and tennis star husband Pancho Gonzales. Before his death from gastric cancer in 1995, they had a blissful marriage. Andre was born in 1970, while his younger sibling, Tami, was born in 1967. Through her marriage to Lobsang Dargey, Tami has given birth to three children.

His younger sister Tami, who was 31 when she was identified, died of breast cancer. Philip and his younger brother cut their mother’s hair short before she started chemotherapy. Six months later, his mother Elizabeth Agassi was diagnosed with the same illness.

They are both living proof of God’s providence and now devote their lives to helping other women in their situation. Andre’s father, Mike, was an Olympic boxer and, according to his book, he admitted that Mike would give him illegal amphetamines before competitions.

Philip, his older brother, warned him repeatedly against taking the pills their father gave them because he knew the pills held more than just caffeine. Andre had to swear he wouldn’t take any of his dad’s medicine, which he was forced to do. He was found to be meth-positive in 1997. Andre said that his gangster father was like that. Despite his father’s best efforts, tennis was never something he actively pursued. All his life, he was harassed and in constant dread.

Even though his father was a tennis expert, he never followed in his son’s footsteps and became a professional player. Mike Agassi always dreamed that his kids, Rita, Philip, and Andre, would make it big in the sports world.

The oldest of his children, Rita, proved to be quite the challenge. Philip was a talented athlete whose sister Rita discouraged him. It was then that Tami Agassi made the conscious decision to devote herself fully to her academic pursuits. Andre’s constant partner on the road was soon to be Philip.
