On Sunday evening, RHOA aired a brand-new, dramatic episode. Drew and her husband Ralph Pittman sat down for a conversation prior to their trip to Jamaica, during which he revealed his intention to write a book about step-parenting. This news perplexed both Drew and the viewers of the show.
In episode 13 of RHOA, titled A Rum Punch to the Gut, Drew discussed how Ralph informed her mother that he discussed Josiah’s adoption with his biological father. Ralph chose to do nothing because he did not agree.
Drew is shocked and bewildered by his decision to write a book about stepparenting and include her child without her consent. She continued by stating that she had no idea why he kept changing his mind and going back and forth.
She described the event as catastrophic. What upset fans was not merely the fact that Ralph abruptly informed him of Drew’s book. It was also the fact that he wanted his wife to write the introduction and co-sign the book while knowing she did not fully support the concept. Aside from that, the RHOA star’s husband was unwilling to discuss the book with his wife.
Drew had no idea what Ralph planned to write. She was also worried about her appearance in it. She informed Ralph that she couldn’t write the preface until she was entirely caught up, which she wasn’t at the time because she was still digesting the news.

Ralph was dubbed “shady” by his Twitter followers for wanting to write a book on Drew’s child. Some followers said he was impolite for not telling his wife what he was writing in the book.

Drew stated that she simply desired time to process and reflect on the news. Ralph told his wife that he would ensure the safety of their child if she simply followed his lead. The RHOA actress and her husband subsequently visited with his publisher.
Drew wrote to her husband’s publisher that while she was pleased with the book, she was also concerned because she was unaware of its existence at first and because it affected her child, which added to her worries.
