Execution Of Hilton Hotel Owner Ramon Adedoyin

On Monday, an Osun State High Court found Hilton Hotel owner Dr. Ramon Adedoyin convicted of murdering Timothy Adegoke, a former master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

In November 2021, the body of Adegoke, who had stayed at Adedoyin’s Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, was discovered. Roman was apprehended shortly after Adegoke’s death, which was suspicious.

Tuesday, 30 May, the chief judge of Osun State, Justice Adepele Ojo, convicted Adedoyin and two hotel employees in connection with the 2021 murder.

In a decision that lasted more than two hours, the judge ruled that circumstantial evidence in the case suggested that Adedoyin murdered Adegoke while he was a hotel guest.

The judge disapproved of Adedoyin’s alibi. The proprietor claimed he was not present when Adegoke checked into the hotel.

Justice Ojo stated that Adedoyin’s refusal to testify was detrimental to his case because he was now responsible for proving his innocence.

In the end, the judge ruled that the prosecution proved the allegations of conspiracy and unlawful killing against Adedoyin and two of the six co-defendants.

Adeniyi Aderogba and Oyetunde Kazeem are the two hotel employees convicted of a crime. The magistrate ordered their execution by hanging alongside Ramon Adedoyin.
