Ali Bynum, a Virginian, has been detained in connection with the murder of Eunice Dwumfour. Rashid was arrested nearly three months after Dwumfour’s demise.
Rashid was reportedly detained at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Yolanda Ciccone, the prosecutor for Middlesex County, relayed the news but did not provide a motive for the shooting.
However, Ciccone revealed that Dwumfour knew Rashid from Fire Congress Fellowship and that Rashid was also one of Dwumfour’s cellular contacts.
In addition, Rashid became a suspect after it was discovered that his phone was in an area off Ernston Road in Sayreville before the homicide.

The body of Eunice Dwumfour was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds on February 1, 2023, at approximately 7:00 p.m. Officials from Middlesex County pronounced her dead at the site.
Dwumfour was purportedly shot while sitting in her car near her residence. CNN affiliate WABC reported that the gunfire knocked Dwumfour unconscious onto the steering wheel as she rolled down a residential street.

Witnesses reported seeing a man in black fleeing the gunshot scene, but investigators remained silent for a month due to the ongoing investigation.
Rashid was identified as the suspect after three months, and he was already charged. Despite his arrest, Bynum’s motivation for Eunice’s homicide has not yet been disclosed.
