Reese Witherspoon laments the passing of her renowned co-star from Legally Blonde, Raquel Welch, at the age of 82. On February 15, the 46-year-old Big Little Lies actress took to Twitter to share her feelings with her 2.9 million followers.

She posted a photo of Raquel from the film wearing a dramatic black and white hat and clothing. “So sad to learn of Raquel Welch’s loss,” she said in the photo’s caption. “Working with her on Legally Blonde was a joy.

She was beyond belief stylish, professional, and attractive. Simply stunning. May all of her angels carry her home to safety Sending affection to her family and numerous fans.” Reese concluded her heartfelt message with a white dove and a red heart emoji.

On Wednesday, February 15, TMZ reported that the sexual icon of the 1960s had died following a brief illness.

Raquel portrayed Mrs. Windham Vandermark, a stunning bombshell whose ex-husband was inexplicably slain in the 2001 popular comedy. Reese played Elle Woods, the courageous legal student who solves the crime.

Reese wasn’t the only prominent figure to grieve the beautiful actress and model. Another bombshell, Miss Piggy, also paid tribute on Twitter.

Raquel Welch was one of the nicest ladies I’ve ever worked with, the famous Muppet remarked with a sensual photo of them from The Muppet Show. “Performing a duet with her on The Muppet Show made me the man I am today! We’ll never forget vous, Raquel!”

61-year-old Christopher Meloni also submitted a brief (and largely incomprehensible) thought. “The death of Raquel Welch is a really strange sensation,” he remarked on Twitter.

Frances Fisher, known for her role in the film Titanic, remarked on a battle suffered by the famous beauty throughout her career.

“Raquel Welch, actor, and international legend who struggled to be treated seriously passes away at 82 – Los Angeles Times,” she captioned a link to the Los Angeles Times story on her death, which was also posted on Twitter.

She concluded the tweet with the hashtag #ripRaquelWelch and the caption, “Sweet, humorous, and kind.”
